Sol and Meri Barer
A co-founder of Celgene Corporation and the current Chair of the Board of Teva Pharmaceuticals, Sol Barer has a history of corporate leadership few others can rival. And Meri Barer has been an Overlook Foundation trustee since 2006, after giving birth to all the couple’s children here. Their generosity over the decades has touched every part of Overlook Medical Center, but most especially the Sol and Meri Barer Inpatient Pediatric Unit. Former Westfield residents, they now live in Mendham, N.J.
