Community Grants Awarded

Overlook Foundation supports local nonprofit organizations by awarding community grants to fund health-related initiatives. These organizations serve the primary catchment area for Overlook Medical Center, which encompasses Union County and neighboring communities.

On June 3, 2025, the Board of Trustees approved community grants to 21 community organizations: Alzheimer’s New Jersey, The Arc of Union County, Bridges Outreach, Caring Contact, Crossroads4Hope, Diabetes Foundation, Empower the Village, Girls on the Run NJ East, Good Grief, GRACE, Imagine, A Center for Coping with Loss, Our House Foundation, Roots & Wings, SAGE Eldercare, Second Street Youth Center Foundation, Summit Area YMCA, Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad, TheraYouth Foundation, Visions and Pathways, Westfield Area YMCA, and Youth & Family Counseling Services. This past cycle, the average community grant given was approximately $3,500, with grants ranging from $2,000-$5,000. With projects that address priorities such as social determinants of health, caring for older adults, and mental health, these organizations support Overlook’s mission to empower our communities to be among the healthiest in the nation.
