There’s still time to tee up your support for outpatient palliative care thanks to a postponement of the Overlook Foundation’s 29th Annual Golf Tournament due to rain. The new date is Monday, August 26 at Canoe Brook Country Club in Summit, NJ.
Following a buffet luncheon, participants will take to the links where hole-in-one prizes and Double Your Dollars holes await. Later that evening, they will have a chance to win big at a silent auction featuring sports and entertainment packages, and rounds of golf at some of the area’s most prestigious courses.
Many business and healthcare leaders traditionally attend the awards dinner, at which the Anthony F. Coppola, MD Memorial Award is presented to the golfer with the lowest individual gross score. Individual prizes are also awarded for longest drive and closest to the pin, while team prizes go to the top five teams on each course when ranked according to low net.
Last year, more than 160 golfers helped raise $130,000 for the Gerald J. Glasser Brain Tumor Center at Overlook. For more information or to register, contact the Overlook Foundation at 908-522-5330 or log on to www.overlookfoundation.org/events/golf2019.
