19^th Annual Golf Tournament is Hole-in-One for Cardiac Program

Thirty-nine foursomes gathered on the lush fairways of Canoe Brook Country Club for the 19^th Annual Overlook Hospital Foundation Golf Tournament on June 15. The event, sponsored by Bank of America, raised some $87,000 for the Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute at Overlook.

Following a buffet luncheon, also sponsored by Bank of America, the golfers took to the links where several hole-in-one prizes awaited, including luxury automobiles, a motorcycle, and $10,000 cash. Later that evening, they were also given the chance to win big at a silent auction that featured trips to Ireland’s Adare Manor and South Carolina’s Wild Dunes Resort, sports and entertainment packages, and rounds of golf at some of the area’s most prestigious courses.

An awards dinner, sponsored by the Eckroth Planning Group and Fitzpatrick & Associates, was attended by many business and healthcare leaders. Individual and team prizes were presented for lowest net, lowest gross, longest drive, and closest to the pin. David Mandelbaum, of Sedgwick Detert Moran & Arnold, received the Anthony F. Coppola, MD Memorial Award for lowest individual gross score.
